Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy
Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are multiple package options offered in this deal.
Primary Feature
The big draw is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.
A regional fantasy map generated in the CC3+ software platform.
Bundle Tiers
Basic Package
The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
Mid-Range Option
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.
Philanthropic Aspect
As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
